Rambouillets are a cross between 3 types of sheep
and have a very close effect to merino
the big difference is that merino has a higher shine than rambouillet
and that the rambouillets have not yet been further refined to produce increasingly thinner wool
for rambouillets, 19 microns is somewhat the lower limit of thinness
while for merino this is currently almost 13 microns
which is incredibly thin
but the extremely large advantage of the rambouillet compared to the merino
is its super bouncy effect that you can put into yarn
This is especially an extremely big advantage compared to cables
and more special 3-dimensional filling stitches
The more bouncy a wool is, the more you can create 3D structures
